Bechtel Computer Laboratory

Graduate level research in analytical and computational modeling in geotechnical engineering is conducted in the M.Y. Leung Computational Laboratory for Soils and Structures.  This Laboratory houses a network of high-performance Sun workstations with a central server and advanced graphics capabilities.

General computer access is also available through the Bechtel Laboratory which shares the same server as the M. Y. Leung Computational Laboratory and contains both workstations and advanced PCs.  A separate PC-CAD Laboratory with 40 networked state-of-the-art PCs for undergraduate and graduate instruction is also available. Advanced engineering software available for geotechnical-related projects includes FEAP, SAP, SEEP/W, Slope/W, and Plaxis among others.
