INTRODUCTION : This study is entitled Develop Life Cycle Evaluation Criteria for Design-Build Transportation Projects. The persons directing this project are Douglas Gransberg of the University of Oklahoma and Keith Molenaar of the University of Colorado. This document defines the terms and conditions for consenting to participate in this study.
DESCRIPTION OF THE STUDY : This study’s purpose is to identify promising life cycle transportation project design methodologies in use by public construction agencies that can be converted to evalution criteria for use in design-build contracting.
RISKS AND BENEFITS : No foreseeable risks, beyond those present in routine daily life, are anticipated in this study. No specific individual benefits are anticipated.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION : Participation is voluntary. Refusal to participate will involve no penalty or loss of benefits to which the subject is otherwise entitled. Furthermore, the participant may discontinue participation at any time without penalty or loss of benefits to which the participant is otherwise entitled.
CONFIDENTIALITY : Participants’ names, if provided, will be
linked with their responses unless the participant specifically wishes to
